  2. It has its place. I'll admit I'm slightly hesitant because the Off-Topic area was often where the most moderation was needed (for problem posts, inappropriate topics, etc.). But if people are willing to keep to the rules even in an off-topic thread it's fine! I just had a thought: maybe it could have a different name? "Other Birding Topics" or something more catchy? To help emphasize that it's not for political discussion, attacks on people's lifestyles, etc.

  3. @Administrator I think I mentioned this elsewhere, but would like to see the addition of a bird-related art forum--paintings, sketches, carvings, etcetera.

  6. We do not get White-crowned Sparrows too often out this east, but even less adults. So it was nice to see this beautiful adult perched right out in the open for me. White-crowned Sparrow by Patrick Felker, on Flickr

  18. Not a cowbird, bill is too narrow. I don’t see why it isn’t a Brewer’s.

  20. Thanks Akiley. That middle American Black duck in the bottom pic looked like it might have been another Am. Wigeon. I kind of wondered about Am. Wigeon for the flight photos, but have never seen them in flight, always on the water.
