    I've been known to go a bit heavy on the sugar for the first few weeks and late in the season. I make two cups at a time (1/2 cup sugar to 2 cups water) and I'll toss in a couple of extra tablespoons. Certainly nothing as strong as 3 to 1.

    I'd say short billed. The Buffy tips go up the sides of the feather. In long billed, the Buffy colour is limited to the tips.

    Right now, exhausted! I woke up at 5:45 to go birding with my mom and dad, walked 4.5 miles in 5 hours......thankfully got almost a hour long nap. But we had 69 species with 20, yes 20 species of warblers!! Migration at it's finest! Here is a link to our list: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S56137532 The other day though we had 10 (!) Baltimore Orioles in our back trees.
