  5. I was with a group on a escorted visit around the sanctuary on day it's normally closed. The facility's directory has banded a lot of the prothos that nest in the park and recognizes the regular ones. A scheduled two-hour walk turned into four. I have shots of another male with two white bracelets, an unbanded female, and plenty of snakes and gators. Here's the male's mate and their nestlings. I had to overexpose a bit to get enough light out of that hole.

  11. It’s ok! This is what birding is all about. All of the corrections I’ve taken here have helped me become a much better birder. Oh, and by the way, lots of people have trouble with warblers sometimes, including me! 😉
