The Northern Lapwing seems to now be on Long Island in New York. Someone also refound the Bat Falcon today!5 points

I really like my small collection of birding shirts. One in particular I consider my lucky birding shirt.4 points

The scaups I saw on 3-24-2021 were the first scaups I had ever seen. Nice to know I got both a Greater and Lesser for the first time on that day.4 points

It is extremely brownish/tan. But it has little to no perceptible hood. I'm not sure what is, but I agree it looks pretty different than what I think of normal Slate-coloreds looking like3 points

Cause it really wasn't part of the quiz - just thrown in to make you all crazy?🤔3 points

With today's bubble packaging that is sometimes a puzzle in itself3 points

I know you are traveling, but back of camera shots are really hard to work with. Many of the true details of the photo are hidden. I find it tough to weigh in on BOC shots alone, but the bill seems wrong for COGR to me. I’d like to see the actual photo.3 points

As someone who has only seen commons, the bill seems really weird for one, ignoring everything else.3 points

Boom! Four lifers! And I hit my goal to get 25 lifers this trip! @Clip this wasn’t even At wakodahatchee! I’m going tomorrow or Monday. https://ebird.org/checklist/S990320152 points

You know it would be HILARIOUS if they were all the same species, just the one being melanistic or something like that. 😂2 points

I hope it sticks around! I'm heading to SoCal for a few days of birding Sunday morning, and might look for it if I have the time among everywhere else I'll be birding. I really want to see a SOSA that's not 800 feet away!2 points

I mean, if anyone is shopping for me, I could use an awesome telephoto lens for my Nikon. Either the 400 mm fixed, or the 200-500 zoom. 😁 The floor liners are a great idea. My car's carpet on the driver's side will never be sand free again. The only present I got last year was a binocular harness, and I just didn't end up using it very much. Another idea: money for wildlife license plates, or a yearly pass to wildlife refuges or something?2 points

Hit the new goal, I'm at 251 for Georgia for the year. If by some miracle I got four more birds before the new year, I'd be at 300 for the year, which would be amazing. Even if I don't, can't complain! It's been a great year.2 points

I think I’m only doing two this season. I have one tomorrow and another on New Year’s Day. I’m exited for the second one since it’s on the day of a king ride and my area has a large marsh. I’m hoping to get decent looks at Black Rail and the chance for any interesting marsh species.2 points

I’ll be eBirding, but won’t be doing any of the stuff with Adubon or anything like that.2 points

Today - the usual hybrids are the typical predominantly Mallard variety. This one has a more American Black Duck bias.2 points
