  1. One I don't often stop to take a picture of. Here is one of favs, with a Pine Siskin thrown in, for good measure :) Got a great shot of a LeConte's Sparrow just a few minutes later, my reason for being in this spot :)

  4. More turnstone photos coming…but I’ll give them a break with my best photo of a whimbrel yet! Just wish he/she would look more at me, but I’m happy with the behavior captured. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/429580991

  9. This morning I saw some Ruddy Ducks trying to show off! They were sticking their tails up and flying it short bursts across the water. I hadn't seen this before, so it was neat to see the displays. This was in northern Arizona. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/429494221 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/429494201 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/429494231 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/429494261

  17. Bird seems too small for Rn Grebe. I don't see any reason it couldn't be a Horned

  21. Are you comfortable with your id? After all it's your list and you are the only one that needs to approve it. I don't keep ANY lists but if I did, I'd be hesitant to list birds that I wasn't sure about, especially if I still wasn't sure after asking for help with the ID. That's just my spin on a list that I don't keep though, this is your list and you have to decide what goes on it.

  22. Juv. ducks and geese have feathers. This little frankenbeast still has natal down. My guess is that It’s some sort of domestic park crumb-eater hatchling thing.
