I thought the fourth was either Rock Ptarmigan or a Snow Goose. Thanks for the correction!4 points

I looks good for a Yellowlegs, but not sure which. Maybe leaning Greater. Solitary would have slightly shorter legs, and is usually darker mocha brown on the back3 points

Checked an irrigation pond that hadn't been eBirded in a few weeks. Every time I've gone here, something cool has shown up! First time was 1st county record BBWD, second was rare AMAV and STSA, and today was a trio of BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS (my fav!) along with a bunch of other cool stuff. They ran right up to us, within 10 feet! Can't wait to see the photos the other birder I was with got, he has a much better camera! https://ebird.org/checklist/S1500375503 points

Includes the earliest fall record of Clay-colored Sparrows for the county and re-finding a county rarity that I haven't seen since August. https://ebird.org/checklist/S1500208593 points

Same here; for me it is not possible to go birding, make a selection, and edit those pictures on a regular day. We just got back from vacation and need to sort through, select, and edit a bit over 5000 photos. So here are the first that are done. I wish I could have gone lower with the green heron, but with several alligators nearby, I thought that was not a good idea 😅 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/608848638 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/6088486343 points

@Kevin it speaks volumes about your character that you had to Google that. ❤️ There is hope for the world!3 points

Least Sandpiper would be my best guess. Dunlin would have a noticeably longer bill.2 points

Coincidentally one showed up near home today. Unfortunately, I did not (or have not yet) seen it. I may go back, um, right now?2 points

birdie 🦆 #484: 🟥🟩⬛⬛⬛⬛ https://birdiegame.net/ The orientation of the second clue really had me confused. Seeing the answer after my lucky guess sorted out my confusion quick enough though.2 points

Nope, just casual interest. Cypress is about 90 minutes away and we visit every few years. The swamp garden is a great place to see breeding wading birds in the spring.2 points
