A local wetland has a low number of waterfowl this year but a good variety. This Northern Pintail flew in unexpectedly while I was photographing some Bufflehead.

Sub Adult Little Blue Heron (calico).. trying something different, using my instagram feed to host pic,I am slowly deleting pics off flickr because of their 1000 pic rule for free accounts. Dont think the quality is there but at least it will stay on the web.

Could we limit the number of confirmations to three? If there's some question on the ID or additional information, sure, add it. But once three people have agreed on an ID, additional agreement posts only bring resolved questions back to the top for members to wade through without adding much value. Just a suggestion. Obviously it isn't my site and I certainly don't make the rules.

Idk how many people remember me from before the server reset but decided to drop in and see what's going on. This is Not from today or recently at all but from my trip out West that I don't remember if I ever shared with everybody or not. This mother owl keeps hiding her babies! Not to mention that death glare she's giving me! I go by this nest every few days in hopes of getting the baby pictures!

This photo isn't as sharp as I would have liked, but I decided to post it. I normally see Cape May Warblers maybe 5-6 times a year and feel fortunate to ever get a photo of one. It was a bit unusual to see one this early in the year in this area (Chapel Hill, NC) and this was a long range shot which I cropped more than normal for me. Even though it isn't a real sharp photo, I was happy to get it. Cape May Warbler by Mark Goodwin, on Flickr
