  1. I saw these birds while I was walking through a nature preserve in Essex County, NJ. I think I have a yellow rumped warbler, maybe ruby crowned kinglets, and a blue eyed vireo, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I saw these birds yesterday at a local park in northern New Jersey. I think these are magnolia's, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I saw these birds yesterday at a nature preserve in northern New Jersey. I think I have a savannah sparrow, and some song sparrows, but I'm not sure about the last one... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. OK, these pics were taken while I was walking a nature preserve in Essex County, NJ. These are not great pictures.. ? but any help would be appreciated. I thought the first 3 were Eastern kiingbird, but I don't see that option on E-bird? I'm not sure the other bird can be identified with those pics.. and the last bird I think is another palm warbler
  5. I saw these birds today at a local park today in Essex County New Jersey. I think these are a palm warbler, white throated sparrow, red eyed vireo, and maybe a purple finch..maybe a house finch... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Based on what was identified yesterday, I went back to the hiking trail in Essex County, New Jersey today in hopes of getting a better picture of a Northern Parula.. I did not get a better picture..., but could you verify this bird is a Northern Parula? It gave me one second of the perfect shot, but I couldn't get the camera focused.. DOH!
  7. I saw these birds today while I was walking through a wooded trail in northern New Jersey. More pics I wish the birds would have posed nicer for.. I realize I am struggling a bit with the non-breeding plumage, and not so great pictures.. so any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. The first bird was warbler size.. They were all warbler sized birds.. My initial thought was a black throated blue warbler.

  11. I saw this bird today at a pond in Essex County. There had been reports of a pectoral sandpiper on E-Bid at this spot, which is what brought me here.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I saw these birds today at a nature preserve in Bergen County, NJ. These birds moved quickly and were a challenge to photograph.. I think these would be a blue-gray gnatcatcher, and a red eyed vireo? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

  15. Thank you! Can I ask a follow up.. are these also leasts? I think the birds in flight are with the black in the center of the tail.. In the second picture, I guess the bird in the front right is the one I'm most unsure of.. Thank you!
  16. I saw this bird last week at a nature preserve in Northern New Jersey. I had seen several Least flycatchers, so I assumed this was also a Least. The lighting is bad, so maybe its an illusion, but the eye ring seems less pronounced to me than the other leasts.. Is this also a least flycatcher? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  18. I saw these birds a few days back at a nature preserve in Northern New Jersey.. They all seem to have different coloration, which I know could be age, or if they are breeding.....but any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. I saw these birds this past Sunday at a Nature Preserve in Northern New Jersey. I believe the first is a black and white. The other two birds were in the same bushes, but they don't seem to be the same species...Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  20. If it helps at all, here is a few more pics of the last bird.. but I didn't get any good frontal shots. The nature preserve I was at is DeKorte Park in the Meadowlands, and looking at E-Bird, there are reported sightings of Least and yellow bellied, so that didn't help either...
