  1. I saw these birds at the Eagle Rock Reservation in Essex County New Jersey yesterday. They were big... but I don't think Raven big. Can we confirm that these are American Crow? (I was nowhere near water, so I don't think fish crow... Can fish crow be ID's without sound? Any help would be greatly appreciated
  2. I saw these birds last week at a reservoir in Northern New Jersey. It was late in the day and the lighting was bad... the first pic I can't make out, but I think the other two are a pied-billed grebe, and ruddy ducks... Maybe the first pic is also ruddy ducks? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I saw these birds yesterday at DeKorte Park in Northern New Jersey. I don't think I've ever seen yellowlegs all bunched together like this. Are these all yellowlegs? I am thinking they are mostly, if not all, greater yellowlegs based on how I perceive the bill length, but any help (and any ID tips) would be greatly appreciated.
  4. I saw these birds yesterday at DeKorte Park in Northern New Jersey. I think I have American Goldfinch for pics 1 & 3, but I'm not sure of the (I think) sparrow with them in pic 1. I think pine siskin for 2 and purples finch for 4, but as always, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

  8. I saw these birds yesterday at the Avalon Sea Watch in Cape May, New Jersey. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I saw these birds in Cape May yesterday. I'm pretty sure I've got a pied-billed grebe, but I've never gotten a pic with the lighting this good before. Is that a young one or do they always look like this? I'm not sure of the second one... then a ruddy duck, American Widgeon, and maybe a blue-winged teal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I went to Cape May today, and have a lot of birds I'm trying to process. I'm not sure of what I have here.. Is this s tundra swan, herring gull (it was really a large gull), and I'm not sure what type of gull the last one is... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  14. I saw these birds today at the Montclair Hawk watch.. I think the first two are purple finch. Not sure if there is enough to identify the others, but somehow you all always seem to figure it out... this site is amazing... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  15. I saw these birds yesterday at DeKorte Park in Northern New Jersey. I believe its a White throated sparrow and a Chipping sparrow, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
  16. These are some little birds I saw while at DeKorte Park at the Meadowlands in Northern New Jersey. I think these are a goldfinch, pine siskin, and maybe a blackpoll warbler? But I'm not certain, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  24. OK, these pics were taken while I was walking a nature preserve in Essex County, NJ. These are not great pictures.. 😞 but any help would be appreciated. I thought the first 3 were Eastern kiingbird, but I don't see that option on E-bird? I'm not sure the other bird can be identified with those pics.. and the last bird I think is another palm warbler
