    OK, I have the same question. I thought this was a yellow-rumped, but perhaps its a Cape May Warbler? Does this count as base of the tail?

    I saw these birds today at the Hilltop Reservation in Essex County, NJ. I just couldn't get a decent pic.. ? The first two are one bird, and I think the last 3 are another. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    That would be awesome, a lifer for me.. but I would have thought a veery would be more reddish, no?

    I saw this bird today at a wooded nature preserve in Essex County New Jersey. When I took the pic, I really that it was too small to be a thrush, but looking at the pic, I think t has to be one.. Grey-cheeked? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I saw this small bird today at a wooded nature park in Essex County New Jersey. It was hopping around the base of a bush, and never put itself in a spot I could take a decent pic.. I have a few not decent pics.. so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I was looking at this and thought for sure the consensus would have been greater black backed, because those legs definitely look pinkish grey and not yellow... but I am far from an expert, so I'll trust the others

    I saw these birds this week at Sandy Hook, NJ. I want to say these are Sanderling, based on their behavior... Would I expect to see other sandpipers at a beach? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I saw this bird today at the Commerce Road Wetlands in Essex County, New Jersey. This one looks a lot like a solitary sandpiper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I saw these birds today at the East Common Wetlands in Essex County, New Jersey. I see Pectoral Sandpipers have been spotted there.. but I've never seen one before so I can't be sure what I'm looking at. Are any, or all of these pectorals? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
