    Both birds are Juncos, I think, but in looking them up, I'm confused about the terminology (i.e. "Slate-colored" vs. Dark-eyed). Can you tell me which is which? (Sorry about the photo, but it's the best I could do with both birds at once.)

      Both are dark-eyed juncos; slate-coloreds are a subspecies. These are both slate-colored, female on the left.
