  1. It didn't have a yellow rump. Is that common? Here is the backside photo
  2. Seen in the porcupine mtns in The upper peninsula of Michigan yesterday
  3. Any recommended areas to see birds near San Diego and Los Angeles? Trying to see condors, California quail, jays, sea birds, etc. Coming from the Midwest so I'm trying to get as many species as possible. Looking through national parks some are closed for hiking due to condor populations. Any information is greatly appreciated! We are set to go to the channel islands to check out island scrub jays already! Getting excited! We are going end of April to early May.
  4. I thought so! Just very unusual at this time of year here!
  5. Is this a townsend's solitaire? Seen today Duluth, MN
  6. Terrible photo taken from my car yesterday in the Sax Zim Bog. Was hoping for some guidance, if it is even identifiable.
  7. Monte Sano State Park today in Alabama. Just looking for a confirmation of Black Throated Green Warbler.
  8. Sparrow in my backyard today Duluth MN.
  9. I need help identifying this guy for a local wildlife rehab center. My guess was a leutistic eastern wood peewee? It is in northern MN.
  10. Crex Meadows, WI today. Stayed up the tree and wouldn't budge for a better photo. I think it's a juvenile whatever it is! Was leaning Oriole because of the beak but I have no clue!
  11. Hello! I'm starting to honeymoon plan where we can bird on Maui in May this year. I have pretty close to zero birds from that region and I plan to go to Haleakala National Park and the Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge but I was wondering if there was anything I would be missing if I didn't do or go somewhere special. It doesn't look like they offer birding boat tours anywhere/anymore, although I may do a whale tour to get out on the water in hopes to see something new. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated as the planning starts! Thanks!
  12. I hope this helps. It's the only other photo of this bird that I got
  13. These are from yesterday in Phoenix, AZ. It's the only shot of the Hummingbird I got so I'm sure it's tough to decipher what it is. Is it a Neotropic comorant? 1) 2)
