  1. Taken at a pond next to a fish hatchery in Branson (Southwest), Missouri, December 28, 2018. The pond was full of Buffleheads and Gadwalls, but I don't recognize this one. https://flic.kr/p/2dSVw2D
  2. I got excited about this one, until I saw the group of Mallards in the next pond. Taken Dec. 24, at the Centerton Fish Hatchery, Northwest Arkansas.
  3. Taken at Charlie Craig Fish Hatchery, Centerton (northwest) Arkansas, Dec. 24, 2018. A favorite spot for winter birds, an IBA for Arkansas. Sixteen open ponds, in various stages of being drained and refilled. There were Northern Shovelers in the area, but this one seemed to be different. https://flic.kr/p/Q4QGUe
  4. Taken Nov. 24, 2018 at Centerton Fish Hatchery, Northwest Arkansas. A flock of these birds were working the muddy bottom of a recently drained fish pond. https://flic.kr/p/R2rfF3
  5. Taken Nov. 24, Charlie Craig Fish Hatchery, Centerton (Northwest) Arkansas. In a pond with Ring-necked, Gadwall, and Mallard ducks. IBird Sleuth says probably a Common Goldeneye. It doesn't have the white patch on the head, would this be non-breeding? https://flic.kr/p/2da6rpV
  6. The shot of the bill is not as good, but this one shows the comparative size and neck length. https://flic.kr/p/QR1D3C
  7. Taken Nov. 17, 2018 at a lake in Central Arkansas where Trumpeter Swans winter. This one was swimming with a flock of at least 50 Trumpeter Swans. Word was out that there was a Tundra Swan mixed in there, and it took me all day, but I think I found it. Tundra Swan? https://flic.kr/p/2bA5YBX
  8. Taken Nov. 17, 2018, at ponds where Trumpeter Swans and Canada Geese winter (Central Arkansas). This one was noticeably smaller than the others, and the bill looks "stubby". Could this be a Cackling Goose? https://flic.kr/p/2bA4LWK
