  1. Taken Nov. 24, 2018 at Centerton Fish Hatchery, Northwest Arkansas. A flock of these birds were working the muddy bottom of a recently drained fish pond. https://flic.kr/p/R2rfF3
  2. Taken Nov. 24, Charlie Craig Fish Hatchery, Centerton (Northwest) Arkansas. In a pond with Ring-necked, Gadwall, and Mallard ducks. IBird Sleuth says probably a Common Goldeneye. It doesn't have the white patch on the head, would this be non-breeding? https://flic.kr/p/2da6rpV
  3. The shot of the bill is not as good, but this one shows the comparative size and neck length. https://flic.kr/p/QR1D3C
  4. Taken Nov. 17, 2018 at a lake in Central Arkansas where Trumpeter Swans winter. This one was swimming with a flock of at least 50 Trumpeter Swans. Word was out that there was a Tundra Swan mixed in there, and it took me all day, but I think I found it. Tundra Swan? https://flic.kr/p/2bA5YBX
  5. Taken Nov. 17, 2018, at ponds where Trumpeter Swans and Canada Geese winter (Central Arkansas). This one was noticeably smaller than the others, and the bill looks "stubby". Could this be a Cackling Goose? https://flic.kr/p/2bA4LWK
  6. Large pasture in North Central Arkansas, Nov. 10, 2018. When I saw them coming, I thought it was a flock of migrating ducks or geese, but when they circled the pasture, I figured I was wrong. They look a little larger than a crow, but not hawk size. Seems to be some color on the head. Thank you for any help you can give. https://flic.kr/p/2cNDTSB
  7. In a pasture next to a city park in North Central Arkansas. Nov. 7, 2018 https://flic.kr/p/2cJkN8k
  8. Cranfield COE Park, Lake Norfork, North Central Arkansas, Nov. 5, 2018. This one was in a small flock of birds working the treetops at the Lake.. Their actions look like flycatchers. The day was rainy and they were too far away for a clear shot. I hope this is enough. https://flic.kr/p/2bi6K4V https://flic.kr/p/2cFSRZz
  9. In a city park, North Central Arkansas, Oct. 30, 2018. The second shot looks like an eye ring, but it may just be angle and the light. https://flic.kr/p/QoDFby https://flic.kr/p/2cs2KN3
  10. Thank you! That was my first thought, but I thought the bill would be longer and have a downward turn. The eyes should have told me.
  11. Brush pile setting, next to a city park, North Central Arkansas, Oct. 29, 2018. Dark on the back of the head is probably a shadow. https://flic.kr/p/2b7VVp4
  12. A flock of these birds landed in McCabe City Park, North Central Arkansas. I don't think I have seen them here before. Could be migration? Taken Oct. 26, 2018 https://flic.kr/p/2b2T31g
  13. I took a lot of the shadows out of this shot. It shows part of a dark wing and white on the end of the tail underside .... https://flic.kr/p/QcBvrd
  14. Don't have one of the legs, but here is more of a profile .... https://flic.kr/p/2cfX72f
  15. I'm guessing from the "belly band", but I've never seen any hawk with this much white. Hwy. 62, Northeast Arkansas, next to open pasture. Taken Oct. 22, 2018 https://flic.kr/p/2cfVvMf
  16. Taken in a city park in Northeast Arkansas, Oct. 22, 2018. I get suspicious when there are a lot of Mallards around, but this one was off by itself, and never joined the rest. https://flic.kr/p/2cfPpbm https://flic.kr/p/29yHbzA
