  1. They generally present themselves when there isn't enough light, and are usually zipping through the sky, both of which make good photos hard to get!!
  2. We got an inch or two of freezing rain and sleet last night, then 2 or 3 inches of snow today. I'm so ready for it to warm up again!!! How about you...did y'all get much?
  3. Spotted Sandpiper ridding itself of a pesky feather that wouldn't lay down 🀣 And then one on the hunt ❀️
  4. I missed posting a Carolina Wren, because I was traveling, so I'm going to include this one, because it's my very favorite πŸ™‚The first Spotted Towhee shot was taken on the same day as the Carolina Wren, too πŸ˜ƒ
  5. It is torture trying to choose 🀣 Eenie, meenie, minie, mo... Barred Owls. This is Heloise, my resident momma, feeding one of her Hootlets this past Summer ❀️ I love them ❀️
  6. I only have one that's labeled. Some day, maybe I'll get all of my pics categorized, by species...
  7. It would only be an hour and a half round trip πŸ˜ƒ If you could spend the night at your sister's, I could take you back there, and maybe she could take you home and have a visit πŸ˜ƒ I'm pretty flexible, if you figure out a way.
  8. I'm pretty sure the Owl is still there. Just let me know if you wanna go try again.
  9. Love seeing all the shots that show off the horns ❀️ Ugh, I know I have more shots, but they aren't labeled yet πŸ€”
  10. A couple of years ago, in Hartley County. I just wanted to get yours for Palo Pinto County πŸ™‚
  11. I've probably seen thousands of these little guys, but have very few pics. I like this one the best. It appeals to me on many levels πŸ™‚
  12. I see them all the time, but have a surprising lack of even decent photos πŸ€£πŸ€”
  13. That's a bird I rarely get more than a glimpse of, on an occasional migration, at the house. Of course, I've seen then farther east, but they apparently don't sufficiently motivate me to raise my camera, or they are pictures I haven't processed and names πŸ˜• This was the best I got last October, when it passed through.
  14. That one I've never gotten close enough to, to get a good shot, so my best was on the Rio Grande this past Winter...
