  1. Not an expert, but I can say it's definitely not a Heerman's Gull or Andouin's gull (Which would be Extremely Rare!). Definitely an interesting (probably rare) gull. Good Luck!
  2. I think range eliminates Anna's, so yeah I'd say Black-Chinned Hummer, but Where in Colorado was this picture taken?
  3. Sorry, at the pismo beach golf course in Grover beach, California, And actually I saw the birds again yesterday and i'm positive they are White-Faced Ibis. Thanks!
  4. Sorry for no photo... 2 Flocks of about 8 birds in each that joined together both in V-formation. Flying about 85-95 feet high. Size of gull, somewhat resembled gull. all had whitish primaries and secondaries and brownish underwing coverts. Extremely loud flight call reminiscent of elegant tern, but slightly less raspy. thanks!
  5. first set could be common with that thicker bill. 2nd set; pass
  6. is it possible to separate Forster's from common tern here? In Morro Bay, CA. on 8/11/19.
  7. the lighting is making the "Ring" more difficult to see, but if you look closely, there is a faint ring, most present in pic 3.
  8. Seen at the beach next to the Audubon overlook in Morro Bay, CA. I'm thinking Western in with the Semipalmated Plover, and that there's gotta be least in there somewhere.
  9. agree with adult male Oregon subspecies DEJU.
  10. 1.-2. First impression oriole, but, yeah, probably WETA. 4. bill too thin for goldfinch, maybe warbler? 5. definitely not goldfinch, has subtle eye ring, maybe vireo?
  11. I think they are the same gull, just that the first one is in the sun, while the other two are in the shade. Ring-Billed Gull would be my guess, but the dark legs and black spot on neck are throwing me off. if not that, than this may be a rare gull.
