There were definitely Eastern Wood-pewees around, but this bird was vocalizing much differently. I'll have to check for alternate calls. Thanks, for the feedback, I'll try for again for an Acadian tomorrow.

This would be a lifer, so I would like to make sure. Taken in Eaton County MI today.

Hadn't thought of Blackpoll, but that certainly fits. Thanks!

With the prominent white wing-bars, I am hoping this is a Pine Warbler, but don't be afraid to dash my dreams. Tennessee or Orange-crowned maybe?

I was thinking possible Pintail also, but Scaup and Redhead were also up for consideration. Thanks for your thoughts.

It's the throat that was throwing me off Red-winged. I've seen a ton of immature males, but never in this exact phase. Thanks!

The eyes aren't right for a rusty, but it can't be a female Red-winged. What do you think?

I've seen Downey Woodpeckers do this in Michigan also.

Thank you both!

With the absence of dark wing tips and the similar size to the adjacent Herring Gulls, could this be a first winter Glaucous?
