  1. I spotted this tiny guy yesterday in Palm Beach County FL, there were at least two of them, possibly 3-4. These were the best photos I could get, after about 20 minutes of looking straight up I had to abort the mission before my neck cracked! I'm thinking Prairie Warbler, but the undertail coloring doesn't seem to match. Then I thought Pine Warbler, but it doesn't have the deep notch in the tail. Any ideas, or is it not id'able with these photos? https://photos.app.goo.gl/8uCMGf6omGzkzLrj9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/qnGvURfeeoAxA88i6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/GE8P4Fj5dTGcgngg8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/AFs4QSWAcnaP4tmi9
  2. NRWS, I think it's the lighting that makes it look a little darker. Looks almost identical to a picture I have of one in my backyard.
  3. I agree with Inca Doves, based on the longer tail, paler underparts, and lack of spots.
  4. I thought for sure I'd gotten a Least Bittern the other day in South Florida, but now I'd seen a bunch of other Juvi birds that look a lot like that too... What do you think? He was small and moved like a sloth... :-) https://photos.app.goo.gl/KsWSAYouUh2rjwp76 https://photos.app.goo.gl/C44wXh9JghBHeaCU9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/5mHDJNwCsVdKBW4aA
  5. WooHoo! Finally, they have been in my neighborhood for awhile and every time I go out to see them, they are gone. Another Lifer for me, Thanks!!!
  6. Seen 6/22/2018 in Palm Beach County, FL https://photos.app.goo.gl/x2mX8Xp7N77QpJec9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/y1YtehDeMeUWhDD77
  7. Wow, yeah Western Kingbird. Great picture, I love it when I catch them mid screech!
  8. I saw these guys while hiking the Appalachian Trail in Virginia this past week. 1.All of these are of the same bird: https://photos.app.goo.gl/bUv7ehvwh7SJQ2CEA https://photos.app.goo.gl/nshXZDMMRdwM7B2G8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/ggM6fv9FU4msHSdK6 2. This one was a different day but he looks a lot like the first bird, so he might be the same species? https://photos.app.goo.gl/SsYbwrCPGH8unSMJ8 3. This little guy might not be a flycatcher, based on the size of this beak, but this is the best pic I got of him, before he took off. Any ideas or too blurry? https://photos.app.goo.gl/XcUfMH8PnuK9zU8B8
  9. I believe this is an Indigo Bunting, based on looks and his call I heard in the field. I saw him last week in Virginia in an small meadow surrounded by forest on either side. But just wanted to get confirmation that it wasn't a Blue Grosbeak... 🙂 https://photos.app.goo.gl/LwKNzBTWjajELJWv9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/H9i7eVEeikYcq6257 https://photos.app.goo.gl/iU6rcqL6RH5CFogv7
  10. Thank you both!!! That's a Lifer for me - very exciting!!
  11. I saw this last week, while walking the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. At first I thought it was a Northern Parula, but after looking at the photos and extra yellow coloring on the tail and wings, are throwing me off. Any ideas? https://photos.app.goo.gl/FWLi1E4B8X6aDdbk6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/F2b6mrKyyqVmxXGDA https://photos.app.goo.gl/6YFMkQdJvVxAtHB77
  12. That's really interesting information, Thank You. I saw him on the way down from Dragon's Tooth (near Catawba on those ebird maps). It was probably about 2300' elevation. But yeah I figured he'd be unidentifiable being wet and scruffy... still cute 🙂
  13. I saw these little guys last week while walking the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. Thanks for any ID's!!! 1. Could this be an American Tree Sparrow? My app says they shouldn't be this far south in the Summer, but I thought the markings matched (chest dot, head coloring) https://photos.app.goo.gl/4h7Jz7v74Zk94RBp8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/1bArkgfMMBn9Pc5X9 2. I'm hoping for a new bird, but I think it's probably a Female House Sparrow. Each of these photos are different locations, but I think they are the same species: https://photos.app.goo.gl/yGckB1QN8nt9AcrK9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/TvXKYQAnHEXQrGhs9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/8aP5s2T6NdKGJfZt9 3. Could this be a Savannah Sparrow or a Female Lark Bunting? https://photos.app.goo.gl/R9R14KCRbrs2DxMu6 4. I'm not sure, but maybe a juvenile, based on beak coloring at the base? https://photos.app.goo.gl/kJEHehSvLXFFPtbh9 5. Totally Unsure... https://photos.app.goo.gl/biCcAukqmetmxKju9
  14. I walked part of the Appalachian Trail in Virginia this past week and got quite a few birds. These are the ones I'm not 100% on, any help is greatly appreciated! American Robin's Butt/Tail? https://photos.app.goo.gl/RaeV62QzDVkpDrAB7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/B26EzNPnfNUEbGQZ7 Black and White Warbler: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Zhw4Kz3dF4wxMieC9 Carolina Chickadee: https://photos.app.goo.gl/CgUSRo5iCVz22mYy6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/ABSx7oYhjQ2cv9uT7 Tree Swallow: https://photos.app.goo.gl/RvSvTQRB3wXVKm9N6 Could the bottom bird possibly be a Purple Martin? The owner of the hostel I was staying at thought it was, but I think it's another Tree Swallow... https://photos.app.goo.gl/sZ3fnWDCeMnMb3fb9
