  1. Thank you, Aidan B and Seanbirds. A friend of mine had said, "It could be Pacific-slope Flycatcher," but I thought the bird's head is too round to be Pacific-slope. Also, the eye-ring of this bird is not a tear-drop type, I think. Zen
  2. I took photos of a flycatcher in Central Park, Burnaby, BC, Canada on May 31, 2022. I wonder if it is Least Flycatcher. Could anyone help me identify it? Zen
  3. Thank you for your quick response. Yeah, I hope it is Yellow-bellied. Zen
  4. Hi everyone, I took these photos in Central Park, Burnaby, BC, Canada on Sep. 06 this year. I wonder if this is a Pacific-slope Flycatcher although the eye ring is not a tear-drop type. The body colour does not indicate Hammond Flycatcher, I guess. I can't think of any other flycatchers that are common in the Vancouver area because of this clear eye ring. What do you think? Zen
  5. Thank you, akiley. I will keep in mind those ID points.
  6. Thank you very much, everybody. I was visiting Calgary from Vancouver and flycatchers caused headache to me because there seemed to be more variety in Alberta than in Vancouver...(^^;). Anyway, I am learning a lot from you. Thanks again.
  7. I took these photos at Confederation Park, Calgary, AB, Canada on Sep. 2, 2019. I think these are all Alder Flycatchers although the first one has a strange eyering. Am I right?
  8. I took these photos at Confederation Park, Calgary, AB, Canada on Sep. 3, 2019. It seems to be a warbler, but I can't think of any such greenish kind. https://www.irista.com/gallery/1dvh6jnhfsw1 Can anybody help me identify it?
  9. Thank you, akandula. I am glad I was right. I saw a Cassin's Vireo here in Vancouver. BC, a few weeks ago for the first time, but it had less contrasty as you say. Zen
  10. I took these photos at Confederation Park, Calgary, AB on Sep. 03, 2019. https://www.irista.com/gallery/ltsvp5bfg8hs I wonder if it is a Blue-headed Vireo although the head is not so blue. Zen
  11. Thank you, BarbetSmith. Yeah, I had never seen such a grayish one in Vancouver, BC. Good to know the difference. Zen
  12. Thank you very much for your help. I now know that Orange-crowned can have such grayish color. Amazing! Zen
  13. Hi akandula, Thank you very much for your help. As soon as I saw the bird, I thought it was different from Orange-crowned and suspected it was Tennessee Warbler. I am very happy that I was right. Thanks again. Zen
  14. I took these photos at Confederation Park, Calgary, AB, Canada on August 28, 2019. https://www.irista.com/gallery/z0pwxnlp14bf Is this a warbler? If so, what kind? Could this be an Orange-crowned? Thanks for your help. Zen
  15. I took this photo at Confederation Park, Calgary, AB, Canada on August 27, 2019. I think it is a warbler, but wonder what kind. Orange-crowned, Tennessee, or anything else? https://www.irista.com/gallery/ad7psicvvfh6 Thanks for your help. Zen
