  1. Looks like a Bay-breasted Warbler. I am not an expert.
  2. They look like Cormorants to me. Perhaps Double-crested unless you mean the birds behind the bar in which case they may be some kind of Grebe but I can't make them out.
  3. They look like Eastern Phoebe to me. Note the black bill, white throat, and yellowish tint on the lower belly. I am not an expert.
  4. Welcome to the WhatBird forum. Yellow-headed Blackbird is correct.
  5. Thanks to all for the discourse. Red-throated Loon would be the most likely as I've seen them at this site in the past but perhaps never an immature RTLO.
  6. Have your way with any of my posts and pictures at any time. Thanks for your time.
  7. Today on a saltwater marsh in Nova Scotia. Thank you.
  8. Sharpie, Coop, or slash? Nova Scotia this morning. Thanks for having a look.
  9. Black-bellied or American Golden? Nova Scotia this morning. Thanks
  10. I'd say you have a female Black-throated Blue Warbler. The white square on the wing is distinctive.
  11. Nova Scotia this morning. Thanks
  12. Most likely a Hermit but the buffy breast gives me pause. Thanks.........Nova Scotia this morning
  13. I won't be doubting you folks. Blackburnian it is. I find that if I attempt an ID on this site and I am wrong, (which I often am) the field marks that are given for the correct identification tend to sink in and stick.
  14. Thanks to all for taking the time to look and explain how you arrived at your conclusions. These tips will help.
  15. I just returned from a hike in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I would like a little help before I report. Pics #1 & #2 are the same bird and I think Philadelphia Vireo or Warbling. Either would be a first for me. Pics #3, #4, and #5 are the same bird. There is such a yellow/green wash over the bird from the foliage, I'm confused. I don't expect an ID from pic #6, but you folks on this site always surprise me. Thanks for taking a look.
  16. I see. Better wait for the experts. Note: an EAWP would also have a longer primary projection.
