  2. This was taken March 1 at the Okaloosa Holding Ponds in Ft. Walton Beach FL. There was a lot of discussion between Long and short billed Dowitcher and the submissions were mixed - I unfortunately did not hear a call. Figured I would get some opinions here... Thanks!
  3. Agreed! Ruby-Crowned kinglet. Fun bird to watch, always on the move.
  4. Happy Sunday! Taken in Panama City at the Conservation Park April 4. Red-Shouldered Hawk? I see very similar pictures to a broad winged hawk on Audubon/birdseye apps... What would a major field marker be to tell the difference? Thanks! Also, off topic - came across a red-morph eastern screech owl enjoying the morning sun... Lifer for me! 🙂
  5. These were taken in January - Navarre, FL. Gulf Islands National Seashore. Sanderlings and some Snowy Plovers? Thanks you!

  14. Would you have any recommendations for what to look for, as in The best way to differentiate between laughing gull and Franklin’s during winter plumage?
  15. Haha, Santa Rosa Beach, FLorida! Panhandle... aka lower Alabama!
  16. Thanks for the time! I'll keep looking, cheers!
  17. Correct, Front 3 are all chipping sparrows. Not sure about the back bird
  18. There has been a Franklins gull reported here but not sure I could pick it apart amongst all of the Laughers... These were the closest resemblance - I was looking for: little Smaller than Laughing, Thick Split eye-ring, White tip on the wings(I did not see it in flight), Smaller bill... I was also told to look for "2-stripes on the head" but didn't understand that... #1 Bird on the Right #2 Bird in the Middle, Behind Boneparte's #3 Bird in the Front (Left of yellow legs) Hope this makes some sense, thanks!
