  1. This photo is from the last time I've seen one, way back in 2014
  2. The only Barn Owl I've seen in the wild was dead with an arrow through its neck
  3. They still have most of the continent to migrate over, just seems a little early
  4. I'll take a stab and say Lesser Scaup or Blue-winged Teal
  5. If you look closely, the bird isn't looking though a hole in the leaf, someone actually stick a googly-eye on the leaf and it just happens to line up
  6. I pretty sure this is a Dunlin in breeding plumage. The strange thing is this is on Mustang Island State Park near Corpus Christi Texas. Picture taken last week. Is it unusual for them to be in this plumage at this time?
  7. @Grymaybe choose someone else?
  8. Look at the fruit on the ground! Does it stink? Is that a palm tree
  9. You will be the forum authority on all birds Hawaii. Hope you'll be ready
  10. Eastern (I think). I saw this guy on a nature walk place in Florida and I was hardpressed deciding if it was a real bird or not (I had recently been duped by a decoy). He was motionless and I couldn't tell if it was moving his eyes as I walked around it. I went back a while later and the box was home to a hive of bees, but the owl wasn't there anymore so my conclusion was that the bird was real. Came back yet again later and the entire box was gone.
  11. Thanks. This isn't on my list yet, does it count if the one I see is dead?
  12. Found this unfortunate bird today at corpus christi, tx. Using Merlin's photoID gives it as a Tennessee Warbler or Red-eyed Vireo. What do you say?
  13. This is a very progressive flock. They don't discriminate anyone joining their ranks. A good example of Equal Employment Opportunity at work.
