  1. All were good but @Gry's 'Mr. Roger's Neighborhood' reference takes it. It sounds like the real reason the show ended
  2. And so, years later, Mal would come to regret his foolish temper; not speaking up as she walked out of his life forever
  3. Never believe what is seen and always suspect what isn't. There is really an out of sight pole holding this duck up.
  4. I'm sure these are domesticated or something but does anyone know about them then just calling them 'white dove'. They were flying around Oso Bay in Corpus Christi, Texas at the end of last year.
  5. The first picture is the bird in question. It was taken at the end of December last year in Southern Texas. It looks most closely to a Least Sandpiper, but I don't remember it being so small. The second picture is a Least SP that I ID'ed without Whatbird and I defiantly remember it being puny (taken 11/22/2020). What do you all think? Also, any thoughts on developmental stage: nonbreeding adult, juvenile, etc
  6. You get 3 wishes if you touch its worm-shaped tounge
  7. Jill looks over her shoulder just before being sent over the waterfall. Give her a Darwin Award.
  8. I create feelings in others that they themselves don't understand
  9. side note: anyone else having issues with the 'quote' button?
  10. I create feelings in others that they themselves don't understand
  11. @Tanager 101 I can't get the quote button to work, but Snake Fingers has passed it on to another person
  12. I got completely fooled by a bird in a pond like that. I saw what looked like a cormorant standing on the back of a goose. I spent so much time trying to get close and better shots until eventually it dawned on me that the goose was a plastic decoy...good thing I was around the back and out of sight of most people. I can't find the picture now but I did upload it on WhatBird back before the site went down
  13. Like many of you, whenever I see starling that would make a good photo, I don't have my camera at the time, but then I don't go out of my way to get a good one because "I'll get them next time". So the picture I have is meh
  14. Weren't they introduced because someone had the bright idea to bring a male and female of every bird mentioned in Shakespeare's plays into Central Park, NY? Hence the European Starling, the House Sparrow, and the Eurasian Collared Dove (and others I can't remember)
  15. Taken in the first year I started photographing birds (2014). I don't have any others of this species
  16. I just flew in and boy are my arms tired!
