  1. Thanks for the thoughts! I'm glad that others are seeing overall brighter and more extensive buffy coloration and extensive rufous on the tertials.
  2. Hi All, Looking for some outside opinions from others who are familiar with Common Snipes. I recently returned from Wake Atoll in the Western Pacific where I saw a snipe sp. on Oct 31 (see attached pics). It never flew or stretched revealing underwings or tail barring. My impression was that the buffy edges were broader on the dorsal feathers than on the Wilson's snipe. Would appreciate other perspectives.
