  1. I've been similarly puzzled. In our parts of Texas, you should strongly consider Cooper's Hawk.
  2. Except for the Panhandle, snow is cause for celebration here in Texas.
  3. Adding to what AlexHenry said, my rule of thumb is if there's any major, obvious white portion on an ibis, it's a White Ibis.
  4. And that's a nice trumpet creeper vine.
  5. Agree with OCW. In Texas most of ours have a very thin white streak along the lower edge of the wing (like a White-winged Dove). This bird shows that, although very faintly.
