It would give me 12 lifers.
White-throated Swift; Anna's, Costa's, and Allen's Hummingbirds; Nuttall's Woodpecker; Black and Say's Phoebe; Cassin's Kingbird; Hutton's Vireo; Bewick's Wren; Lesser Goldfinch; California Towhee
How do you go about sticking a 15 minimum camera in a saddlebag? Do you really trust baskets enough to put $2000+ of photography and binoculars in it? What if you wipe out on a trail or something?
@IKLland Some simple editing can bring out the colors of a picture and make the bird stand out a lot more. I tweaked the exposure, contrast, shadows, highlights, sharpening, etc. a bit. I used the free Windows Photo Gallery 2012 program to do it. I could have done a much better job with Adobe Photoshop with the full photo...
Do you do any editing besides cropping to your pictures?
This can sometimes be avoided if you don't drink very much before you go birding. But when it is necessary to do so, ALWAYS make sure nobody is looking!
