  1. Wow, I figured I was overlooking something common and I was right. I have never seen a female this vibrant before. Thank you.
  2. In a marsh near the Chesapeake Bay. It moved around more quickly than a rail or heron looking for food in the water or rocks/trees. It was maybe larger than the pictures suggest, definitely bigger than a robin, closer to a crow. The dark eyeline and white eyebrow with red eye stand out to me.
  3. Location: Maryland, a pond ~10 miles from the Chesapeake Bay. Date: 2020-03-17 They mostly stayed along the edge of the pond, dabbling. They were large, larger than some Mallards. Seemed like a male/female pair. No other birds looked like this in the pond. Thank you!
