Not a great picture, but can you help? Today 3/24 at Broadkill Beach, Milton DE
Large bird, feather pattern looks black with white dots. It seems to have a kind of rounded shape while perched on branch. Not sure if that's a tuft of feather on top of head. Can't clearly see face pattern. Can you? Thanks!

yes! I think you're all right. I know some people at Broadkill Beach have guinea fowl running around in a small flock. I'd never seen one in a tree.
