  1. First I was thinking the song sparrow, but that does not seem to fit; but I do not know what else it could be. Shot in Rochester, MN on 21st if June
  2. Warbling Vireo would be my best bet, but it is still tricky for me. Seen Sunday in Rochester, MN.
  3. Hmm, could be. It would not be the first time that squirrels are so loud, but this specific sound I have not heard before from them...
  4. Heard this in a small forest in Rochester, MN on Sunday afternoon. One I suspect to be an Indigo Bunting, but the other one I have no clue, any suggestions? 20200712-162235.wav
  5. I have been hearing this sound for a few times now in a relatively small forest in Rochester, MN, but unable to see and identify the bird. There are different birds singing in the clip, but I am interested in the constant somewhat monotonous sound in the recording. 20200705-122324.wav
  6. Thanks for the confirm! I did not notice the claw until looking at the photo on the pc. It was pure curiosity but lets hope it is nothing for him/her ?
  7. Seen this one this morning near a river while canoeing in Rochester, MN. At these times you wish you brought the big lens... I also noticed just now that he/she is holding one of the claws very strange (in all the photo's I took), would this be normal?
  8. After my latest insight in hairy vs downy woodpeckers apparently I have only seen a hairy woodpecker once. Wondering if this is one of them. Shot 06-21-2020 in Rochester, MN. Thanks ?
  9. Quite happy with this song sparrow from this morning ? Edit; what would be the best way to upload photos here? They appear a bit blurry for me
  10. Thanks! Never new that a Blue Jay made that sound!
  11. I heard these two today in Rochester, MN in a small wooded area (not at the same time). I do not know what they are and did not get a chance to spot them. Not sure how to identify them myself only based on sound. Any suggestions? Thanks! 20200621-125915.wav 20200621-140737.wav
  12. Thanks for the confirmation! Edit, I see now that the title was partly autocorrected to Dutch..
  13. The bird was photographed in the Quarry Hill Park here in Rochester, MN. Not sure until when they do it, but I noticed that they recently hung several nets to catch the birds (not sure about the official name).
  14. Thanks for the information! I will have to go back to some of my determinations and have a second look! ?
