  1. Unfortunately not, they kept stationary at all times when I was shooting them
  2. Here are some additional photos, I do not have any other angles..
  3. Thanks, I will have a look if I have any other angles. I for sure have no flight shots and I heard no sound from them
  4. Not sure about the Dowitcher, is it a shot or long-billed? First time seeing them so no real experience with ID'ing these. The other two I believe are Willet and Ruddy Trunstone. Seen at Madeira Beach on the west coast of Florida on Aug 20.
  5. Currently on a road trip from Orlando to Boston, so will have a few posts throughout the East Coast. Saw this one and I thought it was a dark-eyed junco since it showed quite distinct flaring of the white outer tailfeathers when landing, but eBird told me to specifically check since this was a rare sighting at this spot.. Seen in the Shenandoah state park Aug 28. These are two different birds

  7. Not sure if this would fit here, but I need your help! I was playing around with some environmental backlight shots. What do you guys like the best? I think my preference goes to the first image shown here. I realize the bird is tiny in the frame, but that is why I labelled it as an environmental shot. A comment here or rating on eBird, all feedback is welcome ๐Ÿ™‚ https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/594860031 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/594859981 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/594860021
  8. I am really pleased with how these pictures turned out! This Pied Avocet was really cooperative despite not coming too close to me. The whole series is excellent, but these were my two favourites. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/593754431 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/593754401

  10. Bit of a scruffy little guy, but cute nonetheless in my opinion https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/592793741
  11. Good point, not sure. I donโ€™t see them that often (3 times thus far) so I donโ€™t have much reference material. But for other birds mainly living in the reeds I do get better shots; that said, I also get more opportunities to photograph the more common ones and a higher chance of better pictures
  12. Really funny looking guys these bearded reedlings. This image is still not completely sharp. Hopefully, by the end of this season, I will get a sharp one... for some reason the camera struggles with accurately focusing on this species https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/592103581
  13. I usually donโ€™t bother with this common species, but I really liked the lighting and scene and I am quite happy with the result https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/591849481 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/591849501
  14. Second time seeing this species, first time getting some decent shots! https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/591389461 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/591389511
  15. It has been a while and I'm trying to get back into it. From some time ago, but this was my first season seeing the Bluethroat with this being my favourite thus far https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/589956521
  16. I am still working on sorting through the tons of images I made over the recent weeks. Therefore, here is one from the archives. I like the stark contrast between the bright blue of the Indigo Bunting and the lush green of the environment. That is also why I kept the bird a bit smaller in the frame. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/569750311
  17. Guess what, my previous comment is already outdatedโ€ฆ I was looking through the Lightroom catalogue for all the Meadow Pipit pictures I made and saw this unprocessed one sitting there from last year (together with this quite interesting shot from a common tern). I completely forgot I had these ๐Ÿ˜„ Ratings are greatly appreciated https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/568753711 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/568753951
  18. A little Meadow Pipit this time.. my goal for this season would be to get some better images of this species! https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/568745231
  19. My first ever encounter with a Gray Partridge! I was about to drive away when I spotted some weird-looking pigeons in the field, it turned out they were not pigeons at all ๐Ÿ˜„ https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/567653621 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/567652621
  20. Not the best with all the dead sticks, but I still quite like how they turned out since they are not the easiest to approach https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/567199301 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/567199291
  21. Here are two that I am more happy about, especially the Willow Warbler. I have heard this one so many times, yet never managed to take its picture. That is, until yesterday. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/565881221 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/565881231
  22. Very far from a good photo, but my favourite anyway! This picture started my journey here on the forum ๐Ÿ™‚
  23. Not the best picture, but I do like his/her hideout in the reeds https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/565589191
