  1. Seen in Rochester, MN beginning/mid October (different days)
  2. Seen last year 26th of May in Rochester, MN, noticed I had not ID this one yet
  3. Usually not such a big duck fan; but I like this one 🙂 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/409182441 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/409182471
  4. I was lucky to spot a flock of long-tailed tits that were not spooked by my presence! It took many shots with branches in front of their face to get this one, but sometimes you have to get lucky, I guess. Next time I will get a better shot (background) of these little balls of fluff! https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/408056291
  5. I have a very similar file naming system. For me it is date_time_initials_cameramodel_filenumber. Where the date is written backwards (year, month, day) so the file order is always correct in the file explorer. When importing the files in Lightroom the program automatically renames all the files.
  6. Yeah I just saw it, didn't think that would happen with that pic 😄 Thanks for the heads up
  7. Another Great Cormorant https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/407507071
  8. We had plenty of days below zero here in the Netherlands back in the day. Nowadays, it is more sporadic, but I try to enjoy it whenever it happens! https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/406497011
  9. A Eurasian Blue Tit and Great Cormorants from The Netherlands! https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/405943051 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/405939931
  10. Thanks! Figured it was not much special, but wanted a second/third/fourth opinion 🙂
  11. Friend send me this asking what it was... I'm not sure; just a Great Blue? Seen today in San Fransisco.
  12. Thanks! This was the first time for me seeing these two species! Unfortunately for me they were the non-colorful ones... 😒
  13. I do not want to start thinking about autumn and winter, but if I look at the colour of these leaves it is coming soon 😐 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/366126031
  14. This bird is absolutely amazing! I rarely see it, but when I do I am always amazed by how big it is, yet how it still flies elegantly through the trees https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/365612401
  15. I'm actually starting to like the first picture the way it is looking around for some food. I'm also amazed that the second one is (relatively) sharp with a shutter speed of only 1/15th! (the camera wanted to have an ISO of 100..) https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/365049431 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/365049471
  16. Sniped me before I could add the location 🙂
  17. Flycatchers are still tricky for me, I'm suspecting Least. Seen this morning in Rochester, MN
  18. Haha, sorry! I was very lucky on a weekend trip!! 😄
  19. I only ever saw the one Great Grey Owl...
  20. Nice! This is indeed kinda cool! I unfortunately missed this one to see it live..
  21. Yesterday morning I got some pretty decent shots including this (young?) common yellowthroat. Love the colors of the moss/lichen matching the bird https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/364278871 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/364042771
  22. Not sure which one though... Seen yesterday later in the day in Rochester, MN. Habitat, near a marsh
