  1. Thanks! Figured it was not much special, but wanted a second/third/fourth opinion ?
  2. Friend send me this asking what it was... I'm not sure; just a Great Blue? Seen today in San Fransisco.
  3. Thanks! This was the first time for me seeing these two species! Unfortunately for me they were the non-colorful ones... ?
  4. I do not want to start thinking about autumn and winter, but if I look at the colour of these leaves it is coming soon ? https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/366126031
  5. This bird is absolutely amazing! I rarely see it, but when I do I am always amazed by how big it is, yet how it still flies elegantly through the trees https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/365612401
  6. I'm actually starting to like the first picture the way it is looking around for some food. I'm also amazed that the second one is (relatively) sharp with a shutter speed of only 1/15th! (the camera wanted to have an ISO of 100..) https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/365049431 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/365049471
  7. Sniped me before I could add the location ?
  8. Flycatchers are still tricky for me, I'm suspecting Least. Seen this morning in Rochester, MN
  9. Haha, sorry! I was very lucky on a weekend trip!! ?
  10. I only ever saw the one Great Grey Owl...
  11. Nice! This is indeed kinda cool! I unfortunately missed this one to see it live..
  12. Yesterday morning I got some pretty decent shots including this (young?) common yellowthroat. Love the colors of the moss/lichen matching the bird https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/364278871 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/364042771
  13. Not sure which one though... Seen yesterday later in the day in Rochester, MN. Habitat, near a marsh
  14. Yes I just saw this! Not sure how this happened but I like it ?
  15. And one from a waxwing... too bad that one branch was in the way ? https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/364038511
  16. This morning I finally (and unexpectedly) got some decent images of some hummers when visiting a new location. Still lots to improve though... https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/364027141 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/364032771
  17. Ah yes, I always forget the Veery... Unfortunately I do not have a better angle
  18. Thanks! I see now why it is a Magnolia! First for me ?
  19. Is this one possible to ID? Seen this morning in Rochester, MN
  20. I would like a second (or third/forth/etc.) opinion on these. Seen this morning in Rochester, MN. 1-2 Baltimore Oriole 2-5 House Wren 6 Eastern Wood-Peewee 7-8 (all?) Wood Duck
  21. I'm a bit rusty, but these are my best guesses. Seen this morning in Rochester, MN. 1-2 Wilson's Warbler 3-5 Common Yellowthroat 6-7 Nashville Warbler
  22. Although very common here, nuthatches are one of my favorites! I love to watch them effortlessly glide up and down the trunk and hang upside down on the branches to get some food. Yesterday they gave me a really good show and let me approach them very closely; I guess they were too busy looking for food ? https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/355697641 https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/355697971
