  1. I don't keep lists so I have no problem shrugging them all off as, j___ another Gull.
  2. I throw my hands up in the air when it comes to Gulls, too. I don't think I have ever opened a field guide to the Gull section. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

  4. Downy and Hairy Woodpecker comparison.
  5. I agree with the title, Mystery Bird for this ID. The first photo makes me think of a female Black-throated Green Warbler, but I don't get that feeling from the second photo.
  6. Android to Windows is simply a matter of connecting the phone to the computer and accessing it through the file directory, I think. Android to Mac requires a software download in order to do the same thing.
  7. Notice the time of day for those beautiful photos. That Golden Hour of lighting comes awfully early, especially when you need to allow time for breakfast, transportation, hiking from the car to the water, and then getting set up and situated at your destination. Oh yeah, don't forget that you have to be awake enough to operate the camera, too. That's the part I always get hung up on. I'm usually awake an hour or more before sunrise but not always awake enough to get out and take advantage of the Golden Hour.

  10. First time I have ever heard of Saturday morning cartoons referred to as classical art, but I'll give you that one.
  11. Common Loon for me. I love watching them dance on the water while displaying, or while shaking the water off their wings after diving. I think one of the reasons I like watching the loons so much is because it's best done from a canoe, one of my favorite places to bird from. Soaring raptors would run a close second. Any bird that can stay airborne without flapping its wings is always fun to watch, even boring old Turkey Vultures.

  14. Welcome to Whatbird, @Ash_Ebert. Just so you know, there is a five minute window after you post when you can edit your post to correct typos and such. Clicking on the three dots to the top right of your posts will show the edit option, if you're quick enough and it's still available.
  15. I'm probably not the only one that wishes that BRDL had a stats feature similar to what Wordle has. If/when BRDL does implement a stats feature, I hope it can do math better than Wordle does. I deleted my cache and history a few weeks ago because Wordle wouldn't change my winning streaks. After only losing 1 game out of 34, my streak never got past 5. Online searches suggested the history purge to solve the problem as it seemed to be a common problem after the NY Times took over. If you look at my guess distribution below, you'll see that I've won 14 of the 15 times played since the history dump. If my current streak is 4, how can my max streak only be 6 if I've only lost 1 of 15 games? Yep, I hope BRDL's stats calculator comes from a different source than Wordles if/when it's implemented.

  18. If you watched the video you probably would have noticed that they were recording hummingbirds and they were probably the main objective of the recording, thus the "hummingbird" label. πŸ˜‰

  20. @Seanbirds has been collecting a list of bird name typos. Usually someone will tag Seanbirds to draw his attention to the typo, this time Seanbirds tagged himself for the silly effect.
