  1. This another example where reporting the post(which I've already done) would be better than tagging the Mods and asking for assistance. When I reported the post I suggested that they edit the post for you, there's no need to have the post deleted. Just make sure you don't duck up again. πŸ˜‰
  2. I was slow getting outside with my coffee this morning and missed the Dark-eyed Juncos chirping in the dark, but in the brightness of daylight I could see that my predicted Downy was already on the feeder.

  5. The link doesn't show 'American' anywhere on the web page when I look at it. Could you take a screenshot of whatever it is that you're seeing that says American Black Vulture.
  6. I suspect that I'll hear the Dark-eyed Juncos before seeing the Downy Woodpeckers on the feeders.

  9. I'll teach that fisherman below for stealing my dinner.
  10. I knew what you meant, I was just playing with words. πŸ˜‰
  11. Merlin can be a useful tool/app to help identify a bird, but I don't think I'd trust it with photos like this. 😁

  14. You just keep on looking for dinner, I'll watch your back.
  15. @Snake Fingers, I'd like to apologize for my snarky post yesterday. I was trying to make a point, and regret that I didn't find a friendlier way to do that. I didn't realize just how snarky I was being until I re-read my words this morning. Please accept my sincere apology for my poor behavior.
  16. I suggest that you try that discussion on a Cat forum, Dog forum, Horse forum, Amphibian forum, or maybe on a Snake forum, and see how well it goes over there. Personally I think the question is inappropriate for a birding forum, and most members would know that without having to be told.
  17. Yes.... and no. There is a possibility that it's a young male that's not into it's darker adult plumage yet.
  18. I suggest using the Report feature for requests like that, I believe it would make it a lot easier for @Kevin and/or @aveschapinas to find the right post. There's an option for 'Moderator assistance request', which I suspect was created just for situations like these.
  19. You'd need to call that one on GISS alone, I'd think. GISS- General Impression of Shadowy Species
  20. The continuing winds overnight have increased the drift size upwards to about 4 feet this morning.
  21. The temps here haven't been too bad, -10C, but the wind chill has been making it feel like -25C. The snow has been coming down pretty steady but it's impossible to tell how much we've gotten. The snow has been blowing across the fields and yard so much that when I look out the front door I still see the grass in the front yard. That's when the wind dies down enough that I can actually see the yard. When I look out the back window though, I see a snow drift that looks to be 3 feet high, if not more.
  22. I see an embedded video with a Warbler and Sapsucker using Safari on my MacBook Pro. Safari on my Android phone can't load the linked Mov video though.
  23. Does that bird(?) have two heads? Looks like there's a head(?) on both the near and far side, making it hard to tell what I am looking at.
  24. You're not alone on that one. While I feel better, I am a long way from feeling good. Let's hope it keeps getting better. 🀞
