  11. Might a juvenile grackle be another possibility?
  12. I was thinking that you've been around long enough that you should know better, then I realized what thread the next button took me to.
  13. Just to be clear, I wasn't suggesting to exclude the GPS coordinates, I was just suggesting to include the location so we don't need to refer to google maps to figure it out.
  14. All messaging is through Whatbird. For those that don't know, you can send a private message by clicking on @Jagularr's name and selecting the envelope icon from his profile page. You might also be able to send a private message by holding the cursor over a person's name and clicking on the message envelope when the little box pops up.

  16. It is helpful to include the location in your post, @Ruslan Balagansky. The GPS coordinates are helpful for very, very, very range specific birds but they don't tell us where Mule Hill trail is unless we open Google maps. Including the State/Province in our posts when we reference cities, or counties, or hiking trails, or golf courses, etc., helps those of us that are geographically challenged quickly relate to the location without having to look at a map. Just one of those little things that makes location easier for me, and perhaps others, to understand. Thanks.
  17. I wonder if this might be a young bird, which might explain why it looks different. I think the gape is visible in both pictures. (I'm on my phone and not confident in what I'm actually seeing.)
  18. Happy 400 to Birdie. 🍾πŸ₯‚πŸŽ‚
  19. IN CASE OF PROBLEMS WITH BIRDIE. When we run into problems with Birdie not loading, or loading a misidentified image, etc., @Jagularrwould like to be notified as soon as possible. This can be done by sending him a personal/private message titled 'Birdie Problems, or something similar, and a brief description of the problem. This will produce an email in Jagularr's inbox where the subject title and message will alert him to the problem without him having to visit Whatbird. Do not tag Jagularr for game problems as he won't see those notifications until the next time he signs into Whatbird. IMPORTANT. Please post a message here in the Birdie thread after you have notified @Jagularr so that we don't fill his inbox with duplicates of the same message. This is to help fix problems as soon as possible, and hopefully prevent our messaging system from becoming a problem. Thank you for your cooperation. WE NOW RETURN YOU TO YOUR GAME.

  21. Just imagine the reaction if the bird was named after the behavior @Kevin described. An Ivory-billed Woodpeeker would confuse even more people.
