    Probably just to get more hits on the website so they can collect more money from their advertisers, of which there are PLENTY. The more hits a website gets, and the more it's shared, the more valuable the advertising space. Mis-identifying birds is one sure way to draw attention to a website so it might just be a marketing ploy to promote the advertisements. 🤷‍♂️

    This another example where reporting the post(which I've already done) would be better than tagging the Mods and asking for assistance. When I reported the post I suggested that they edit the post for you, there's no need to have the post deleted. Just make sure you don't duck up again. 😉

    I was slow getting outside with my coffee this morning and missed the Dark-eyed Juncos chirping in the dark, but in the brightness of daylight I could see that my predicted Downy was already on the feeder.

    The link doesn't show 'American' anywhere on the web page when I look at it. Could you take a screenshot of whatever it is that you're seeing that says American Black Vulture.
