Many hawk species can have yellow eyes in their juvenile stage. I'm inclined to say a young Red-tailed here but wait to hear from others who actually know what they're talking about.

@PaulK's spoiler made me realize that while I solved the puzzle this morning, I did so by using the wrong bird to create the banding code. I used the main index in iBird to come up with banding code options and I found one that fit perfectly. Slight problem though, >Green-breasted Mango< , the bird I used, has a different code than I thought it did.

Knowing what eye colour you're referring to might be useful info to help others eliminate or include certain species as an option.

I think that might be what @PalmWarblerwas inquiring about, WHERE in Florida should they plan their trip for? I got the sense of a more generalized question asking for a basic destination in Florida as opposed to specific hotspots, which could help decide the destination if its not already decided. Care to help us better understand your question @PalmWarbler?

Don't forget that the photographer started out with 45MP before cropping many of the photos down to less than 3MP. Being able to crop so extensively speaks volumes about the quality of the camera AND lens combo, as well as the skill AND luck of the photographer.

Exciting sighting.

I was going to point out that @Charlie Spencer's post count is so high because it takes him an extra 2-3 posts to explain his jokes and word association jests. Then I got to thinking of the effort he puts forth and realized the sheer number of posts shows just how hard he really tries, and that deserves praise, not ridicule. Being an IT guy with a few years still left to work, you might not want to say that too loud, or too often. You might also want to hold off on introducing your bosses to birding or this website for awhile.
