  2. For the price of an EF/RF adapter, it might be worth trying the 150-600 before investing in an RF lens. If the 150-600 on the R7 isn't a huge improvement on your keeper ratio, then it hasn't cost you much to find out if the combo is good enough to keep you happy until you can get the lens you want.
  3. Nice photo, @DaBirb. It'd be nice to see the original instead of a photo of a comptuer screen, but you can still tell it's a nice photo. What camera did you use to take that shot?
  4. Is this one of those weird code 5 or 6 birds that they use in BRDL, or is this a Winter Wren-Sedge Wren hybrid? 😁 Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  5. If you're worried about focal length, wouldn't an EF/RF adapter to pair your current 150-600mm lens to the new R7 be a cheap solution, or are they not compatible?

  8. I see nothing inappropriate, and if it was inappropriate the Mods would/should have been notified and the post removed. I suggest that you look up the meaning of the word. You can do this easily by highlighting the word, right clicking on it and then selecting Look Up. I often use this method to better understand words, and/or phrases that I'm not sure of. πŸ˜‰
  9. I agree, it would also be easier for @DaBirb to upload them directly from the computer they're being opened on. Transferring them to a second device by way of a photo just adds unnecessary steps, and reduces the image quality substantially.
  10. I was wondering the same thing and thought it might have been part of it's last resting place frozen to it's feet. I had no idea they carried things around with their feet like raptors do.
  11. You might be a birder if you spend your online time getting sucked into some bird related websites that are nothing but a waste of time, but you enjoy wasting your time because it's bird related. https://www.flockingaround.com/post/rare-bird-codes

  14. I think the 'one guess at a time' preference was intended to allow others equal chance to guess so that one person doesn't monopolize all the guesses. While it might not be explicitly worded that way, I believe that was @stitch58's intention.
  15. Dear onemillionwords17, thank you for providing such a wonderful game. Thanks also for keeping it to North American birds, and for offering to correct the streaks of those who missed the non North American bird posted by accident yesterday. I don't know what my streak was before yesterday's failure, I had never checked my Scorecard before so I had to do some math this morning to figure out my streak. I have only lost 8 out of the 109 games showing on my scorecard, so my streak must be 101 and I would appreciate it if you could make my score card reflect that number. Thanks in advance. Jokingly Sincere, Birdie Addict # 976845

  17. I hope everyone noticed the apology for yesterday's bird at the top of today's puzzle. Looks like Birdie is trying to take a different direction than BRDL, at least Birdie is trying to stay with North America birds.

  19. It's pretty obvious to me that they aren't Common, they're Hooded. 😁

  22. I agree with @Charlie Spencer. I see a very shallow pocket in the rocks with shadows making it look deeper than it is. The center of the pocket has markings, or shadows and ridges, that make it look like a face of sorts. Those same markings can be seen on the rocks around the opening, they just don't look like a face there. That's how I see it. Although I admit it does look like a mammal, I think it's an illusion.
  23. Where did that photo come from? It's different than the two photos that @Drew posted.
