  3. I have seen one, or more, of these almost every year for the past 6-7 years. I don't recall ever seeing one in the 50+ years before that so I consider myself lucky, even if I haven't been lucky enough to see one in this pose. Although I haven't seen one yet this year, I have heard them.

  9. birdie πŸ¦† #683: πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ©β¬›β¬› https://birdiegame.net/ Manage to sleep until 4am this morning, and solved the puzzle on my 4th guess. Coincidence?
  10. Sorry to hear that. I thought the anxiety of building a new home and moving might be enough to cause a few restless nights. I'm sure that must add to the stress related to your mother's health, even if it can't be compared to it. My thoughts are with you through these difficult times.
  11. I suspect it might be for similar reasons for both of us, perhaps on different levels. Ensuring I've got secure accommodations is a stressful thing, and it's keeping awake at night, and throwing me off my Birdie game.

Putting the two letters I had to work with into AlphaCodes.net didn't provide any options that matched my remaining letters. I started adding a third random letter until I found a possible combination that worked.
  13. For the amount of sleep I've had this past week, I can't believe I did this good. birdie 🦒 #682: πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯🟩 https://birdiegame.net/

  16. I'm not sure there is anything 'decent' about waking up at 3am, nor am I sure there's anything 'indecent' about staying up until that hour. Having experience doing both at times, there's one thing I am sure of, it makes for a short night's sleep and a long day no matter the reason you're awake at that hour. 😴

  18. I am having serious doubts about this earlier ID. I was sure the flight pattern, and the usual pathway taken, was that of a swallow at the time, but I have yet to see another one so now I'm less confident in my initial judgment. Good thing I don't keep lists, I'd be questioning every ID I made that didn't have photographic proof, no matter how confident I was at the time of listing the ID. πŸ€ͺ
  19. Just for clarity, the humorous thoughts running through my mind had nothing to do with @Charlie Spencer being committed. Although I do admit to seeing the humour in that too.
  20. BRDL 796 🐦🐦πŸ₯šπŸ₯š 🐦🐦πŸ₯šπŸ₯š 🐦🐦🐦🐦 Glad I picked one randomly from the list instead of going through my options alphabetically.
  21. I'll go for the triple. White-tailed Ptarmigan Never mind, no habitat in the name. Duh.
  22. Nope, nope, nope. Not going there. *reminds myself where I am, and where that door goes...bites tongue...argues with myself about how funny it would be vrs how unfunny it could be interpreted...bites tongue harder* Ouch! I knew better, just thinking about opening that door hurts.
  23. birdie πŸ¦… #679: πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯🟨🟩 https://birdiegame.net/ I suppose I could say that it was the variation in plumage that threw me off on this one, but I think we all know that @Charlie Spencer posted before me just to throw me off my game. Yep, that's my revised story and I'm sticking to it. πŸ˜„
  24. I thought that one might have lasted long enough for a second clue, but I guess not. Well done.
  25. Clue #1 These birds have a range that covers the continent from from east to west but not north to south. These birds have been observed eating 96 sunflower seeds in five minutes.
