  1. I should clarify, @PaulK, that was the full image in the game. Unless I'm mistaken, I think the tail was cut off for everyone. No idea why other than a glitch in the game. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  2. That was the full photo, once it's solved the last image appears regardless of which guess you're on.
  3. Thanks @PaulK. I wonder if the tail was drawn after the fact to show features that are missing in the photo. I still think the reflection is weird but I can't see an artist making a bird drawing and leaving the tail cut off like that. I can see a photographer cutting the tail off quite easily though.
  4. Welcome to Whatbird, @CoinWater. Is it possible for you to upload the video to whatbird, or a website that allows you to embed the video here, such as YouTube, etc. No offense but there's too many nefarious links floating around the web for me to feel comfortable clicking on a first timer's hidden link. https://linksharing.samsungcloud.com/rjaNwAhvyj5R
  5. I thought I might see another coupling the other day when I saw the fanning of the tail and then the flashing of the other side, but they just danced around each other while we watched the show from the front deck.

  7. If you know the area, wouldn't the bar charts for that area show everything reported in that area? It's probably not that simple but that's how I'd approach it. Keep in mind that I'm not a registered user of eBird so I don't really know what I am talking about.
  8. I'm hoping someone grabbed a screen capture so we can have another look. The name on the picture might be helpful to figure this out.

  10. I'm not 100% convinced one way or the other, but the reflection just doesn't look natural to me. I'd like to see the tail connected to the bird, but I think I'd still find it hard to decide.

  12. I wondered why the final image lacked the tail details shown in the first photo. Good eye.πŸ‘
  13. Do you have access to your photos now, @Birds are cool? If so, you can share your caption photo now, unless someone else posts something before you. πŸ™‚
  14. I'd wager that getting a clean foreground happens even less often. πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ˜
  15. This was a tough decision for me, I like the creative ditty of @MacMe but I have to give the win to @xpoetmarcr whose caption paralleled the, 'Is this going to go down?' caption I had in my head.

  17. What are you talking about????? It looks like it's in the right thread to me. πŸ˜‡ *gives @Kevin a wink and a nod*

  19. birdie πŸ¦… #56: πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯ https://birdiegame.net/ I totally botched this one. I had considered this bird as a possibility but dismissed it because I didn't see colors that I thought should have been there.
  20. Sorry @GracesWarbler, Southwestern Ontario is as far southwest as my camera has traveled.
  21. I know it isn't a great caption shot so I'll pick a winner tomorrow evening and speed things along. Last call for Captions.

  24. I can explain that with, it's just been one of those days. @Kevin, would you be able to move that errant BRDL post of mine to the right thread, please and thank you.
