Taken 2021-04-16 at Puddingstone Lake in San Dimas, CA (Los Angeles County) Photos 1 & 2 are of the same bird. Photos 3 & 4 are of the same bird. Photos 5 & 6 may be of the same bird. There was a bird moving around in the thickets and these photos were taken within the same minute -- two frames apart.

There have been some regular reports of a few NECOs at that location for the past few months. I've been there twice now and this is the only one I've seen.

I know for some of you Bald Eagles are a common sight. But I saw my first one about a month ago on a nest at San Gabriel Reservoir. And this is my first one in flight taken yesterday 4-16-2021 at Puddingstone Lake in San Dimas, CA.

Taken 4-11-2021 in the late afternoon at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Van Nuys, CA. My first thought was Ring-billed Gull, but now I'm thinking it might be a California Gull at some stage other than adult.

Taken 4-11-2021 in the late afternoon at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Van Nuys, CA. Is this a regular ol' domestic Graylag Goose? I know there's lots of variability, but I haven't seen any pictures of them with a black tip on the bill and a spot on the throat. And it seems about the same size or a little smaller than the Canada Goose.

Taken 4-11-2021 in the late afternoon at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Van Nuys, CA. I'm thinking this is a Vireo of some sort, but not even confident about that. Haven't seen a Vireo before. I'll be disappointed in myself if it's a RCKI.

Taken 4-11-2021 in the afternoon at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Van Nuys, CA. Would this be a female Common Yellowthroat?

Taken 4-11-2021 in the afternoon at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Van Nuys, CA. I've been struggling with these two birds. I think they are both goldfinches. Maybe both Lawrence's, which I haven't seen before.

Thanks Aidan. I thought I might be seeing some yellow-green color on the legs of that one. But I was expecting they were all the same species. I need to quit doing that and believe what I see. This was shot from a distance and its the only angle I have.

Taken 4-10-2021 on the Los Angeles River at Glendale Narrows Riverwalk. If these are Western Sandpipers, then that's a new one for me.

Okay Avery. I was confused. I thought you had posted a new challenge on March 27.

What is the current challenge? Blue-winged Teals or Red-winged Grackles?

That's what I was afraid of. Drab is being generous. Thanks.
