[What Raptors?]

Photos taken around noon on 8-9-2020 at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Van Nuys, CA.

Is the larger one a juvenile red-tailed hawk, and what is the smaller raptor flying with it?

[Both Dark-eyed Juncos???]

These two birds were photographed on 8-27-2020 about 7 minutes apart in the late afternoon on my balcony under a bird feeder in Glenoaks Canyon, Glendale, CA.  The following day two similar birds were seen together in the same place.

Are these both Dark-eyed Juncos?  If so, is the second one a female or juvenile?

That is it!  No wonder it was difficult to ID.

This bird was seen in the late afternoon on 8-25-2020 in my backyard in Glenoaks Canyon, Glendale, CA.

At one point there were two of them that looked pretty much the same.

It has an orange rump underneath at the base of the tail feathers.
