I noticed my cat about to pounce on a ground moving critter...so I ( easily) picked it up... my husband removed the predator(cat) ...having never seen such a bright yellow bird of this size I took a picture of it in my hand, and released it ... it continued to jump around one or 2 feet horizontally into the bushes at the edge of the field.... I thought it might be a fledgling, but it seemed awfully big... haven’t seen it since, which I hope is good
