  1. You both may be right, but I have never seen anything resembling a male here. Let me try and capture some more photos in the coming days please.
  2. Not a Tanager. No red on the heads at all. A little bit longer beak as well.
  3. These birds are about twice the size of the lesser goldfinches here and the coloring is very similar. A few are brighter yellow with orange-tinged beaks. I thought they might be female hooded orioles, which I have seen here before, but there are several of them from brighter to dull in this same yellow/green coloration. The mother has been coming to the birdbath with her two young recently, who are almost as big as she is now. I have not seen a male hooded oriole since the spring.
