  3. Beginning birder here, so trying to (in)validate my tentative ID! Three birds of same species hanging out together, in the tall weeds under mature deciduous trees on the edge of a large suburban lot in New Jersey. Smaller than sparrows and look less bulky. Pale gray body, wings have two prominent white bars. Chest and belly with a yellow-olive tint. Thin beaks. Did not see an eye ring. Birds not flitting about constantly like ruby-crested kinglets. It seems a bit late for least flycatchers in this area but that’s the best I could do with the combination of Merlin Bird app and Sibley. Thank you!!!
