Hi, this large bird was seen on a farm in Burlington, WI (SE WI, south of Milwaukee) yesterday morning, Nov 22. Young eagle? Something else? Thanks in advance.

Quick follow up. The young one is still around. As are a couple others. They are flying around the neighborhood calling as I type. No luck with a good pic.

Thank you! We could hear him/her getting further and further away last evening. We were wishing him a wonderful life. Hoping he wasn’t injured. ??

I saw this bird this evening, July 18, 2018 in Orion, IL (Quad Cities area) between 6:30 and 7:00pm. It was in our backyard, sunny, 80 degrees, low humidity. It came to my attention when it was repeatedly jumping against windows in our sunroom between yew shrubs and the house. Our indoor cats were crowded at the window. It moved out into our yard and eventually into the neighbor’s yard. It seemed unable to fly but did manage to jump/flap onto the neighbor’s grill. It was mostly walking and sometimes running. It was calling frequently. Could it possibly be a fledgling? I have video with audio as well but suspect someone will be able to fairly easily confirm for me from the photos. Thanks in advance!
