Hello, best pics I have. I think it's a Golden but not sure. Taken today, Parry Sound district, Ontario Canada. Thanks.

Hi I'm wondering if this is a Lesser Black-backed gull or Herring? Appeared smaller than HEGU and larger than RBGU. Taken today Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada. Thanks

I'm looking for some help to ID this finch. Taken yesterday in Parry Sound District, Ontario. House finch would be rare at this location. But going back and forth between that and Purple Finch. Thanks.

Taken this morning, Parry Sound District, Ontario Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts based on these bad pics (one has been slightly darkened). 3 birds flew over me today. Listened closely for honking or trumpeting but calls sounded softer making me think tundra but I cannot be 100%. Tundra and Trumpeter are rare but more so Tundra. Thanks.

greater yellowlegs? July, North Bay, ON

Yes, definitely Greater Yellowlegs. Bill is longer than head width and slightly upturned. -
These are 3 different sets of pictures and I am wondering if there is a Hoary Redpoll here. The first 2 pictures were taken on Nov. 12 in Parry Sound District, Ontario. I am wondering about the bird on the top right in the first pic, which moves to the bottom in the second pic. The third pic was taken in York Region, Ontario on Nov. 18 The rest of the pics were taken Nov. 25 in Parry Sound District, Ontario. The first picture of this set is a Common (and most others looked like this) but the bird in the last 3 pics looked paler, slightly larger and definitely stood out when all the redpolls took flight together. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Southeast Asian Birds

Thank you! I believe 1 and 3 are confirmed! My initial thought was the same for 2 but I cannot find a species that matches. 4 has a crossed bill and seems glossy and appears out of range for the Chinese Blackbird. I will keep searching for 2, 4 & 5. Thanks again! -

Thank you for your post. Although 1 is compelling for a Sardinian Warbler, I have yet to find any records of one occurring in Burma and the species does not show up, not even as a rare bird on Ebird. For #2, I could not find any species with this name anywhere. The closest I found was the Rusty-fronted Tody Flycatcher in South America. 3 does look like Helmeted Guineafowl but they are native to Africa so they are obviously domesticated. If you could give more detail for 1 & 2 as to the reasons why this is what you think, that would be great. Thanks for your help. -

Warbler? Please assist with ID
cevans2 replied to loonswan's topic in Help Me Identify a North American Bird
Tennessee I believe. -
These pictures were taken Sept. 8 at Keith McLean CA in southwestern Ontario. I had originally thought immature Bald Eagle, but considered Golden. I have just noticed an Ebird posting from that date and location reporting a Golden Eagle. I am wondering what the consensus is here? Thank you.

These photos were taken back in 2014 and are my last photos to identify from the trip. The first one is late April in Hispaw, Myanmar The second one is early March near Kampot, Cambodia The third picture is taken on the outskirts of Phnom Phen, Cambodia in mid Feb.and I am also wondering if they are domesticated? The last two pictures were taken in Tonsay, Thailand (the south) in late May. Thank you for any help!

Ok thanks very much for your help... unfortunately I think it will be left unidentified...

I am wondering by the best of your knowledge, is the black on the bottom corners of the tail on a white underside distinctive to Cerulean, or are there other possibilities? Thank you.
-
No, I don't think it was a B&W. The black was confined to the bottom corners of the tail and seemed more white on the chest with finer streaks on the sides...
