Mottled Ducks https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/102558361 and Mexican x Mottled Ducks https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/25739521 don't have the distinct white stripe in front of iridescent panel on upperwing, like Mexican Ducks have. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/274746091 This picture clearly shows a distinct white stripe.
  3. I think it is a female Hooded Oriole due to the no gray on the cheek, like what a female Scott's Oriole has, but I don't really know the birds in that region so probably wait for further confirmation. It can't be a female Bullock's oriole female due to the no white on the belly.

  5. Yes, I believe that is a young Ring-Necked Pheasant.
  6. Yes I think so too. Blue Jays make a huge variety of calls. I have spent hours tracking "weird" bird calls thinking that it was going to be a new bird for me and then found out that it was just Blue Jays. So frustrating?
