  1. The photos look like a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker to me.
  2. I saw my lifer Kirtland's Warbler today, in Baltimore, MD. It may be Maryland's first accepted record. It was foraging on the ground near water, and hopped within maybe four feet of some people. The photographs are amazing. It was found by a birder from Pennsylvania late on Monday.
  3. You should be able to click on "Add Species" in the top right of a new checklist (on desktop at any rate), then type in Mississippi Kite.
  4. This morning we saw 3 (or 4?) Cape May Warblers on a general natural history trip. Each time the leader was talking about mushrooms and other fungi. It was as if the warblers too were interested in the fungi. eta: This morning
