    I really wouldn't trust this photo too much, the appearance of "longer bill" might also be a photo artifact. Breast coloration is not a reliable field mark, and it's kind of giving me a Least feel, although I do agree it's likely best left as peep sp.

    This shows the normal back pattern of a RBWO- are there any significant differences? https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/304732001 There have been a few instances of leucism in Red-bellied Woodpeckers, like this one- https://feederwatch.org/unusual-bird/leucistic-female-red-bellied-woodpecker/ Is that similar to what you saw?

    Isn't pale with black bars the normal RBWO plumage...? Also, it's leucism. There are no records of NOFL x RBWO. How did the bird look like?
