  1. I didn't think it was anything you did intentionally, and the proportions seem the same in the original. Maybe it's just unusual to see it perched with its body so perfectly vertical that's fooling me.
  2. And regardless, don't the pics in the original post look like they're stretched about 50% vertically?
  3. Enlarged and bumped brightness and contrast in case it's helpful to anyone more knowledgeable than myself.
  4. This might seem unimportant, but when looking at a species map on eBird, is there a way to turn off the display of grocery stores, etc...? I just want to see where the birds were sighted, I don't need to know where the local Piggly Wiggly is.
  5. It was the "humorous" part that was throwing me. You've got to admit that pink mohawk is pretty silly-looking.
  6. Correct. Brewer's Blackbird would have been acceptable as well.
  7. Okay. A passerine bird named after an Ivy League educated ornithologist who also had a mole named after him. (I had to throw in "Ivy League educated" because apparently there is at least one other ornithologist who had a mole named after him. It seems if you were in good with James Audubon you could get anything named after you.)
