  1. Hello, Some help needed on a few birds photographed in Nairobi, Kenya in Dec 2020. 1. I have this as a Reichenow's Weaver (which I believe is a subspecies of the Baglafecht Weaver) 2. Possibly the Female of No.1. 3. Village Indigobird? 4. Same bird as No.3 5. Red-eyed Dove or Ring-necked Dove? 6. No idea.
  2. Looks good for a Herring Gull. Ring-billed Gulls very rare in Europe and has more yellow legs than the pink of the Herring.
  3. Any idea what this dead bird is. Beak narrows it down to some type of bunting, sparrow or finch but long curved tail complicates things?
  4. Also grateful if someone could explain how to embed a picture from Flickr. Thanks.
  5. This bird was sighted on the North Cornwall coast in South West UK. https://flic.kr/p/2gTte6C https://flic.kr/p/2gTsndW Any ideas?
  6. 2. Pied Wagtail (UK subspecies differs in colouration from continental White Wagtail)
  7. There are several different species of motmot. Difficult light but this could be a broad billed motmot.
  8. This looks like a Coppersmith Barbet. My book only shows India and South Asia so can't confirm whether they range that far East. I've seen them in southern India - nice bird.
  9. Agreed Egyptian Goose. These still count on the BOU British List as Class C (self sustaining population introduced species).
  10. 1. Great Cormorant with Canada Goose and Greylag Goose in background. 2. (Juvenile) blackbird. 3. Black-headed Gull. 4. Great Tit. 5. Woodpigeon.
  11. Thanks for clarifying. I've never heard of the ABA so it's a little confusing that some of North America is in it and some is not. Perhaps there should be there forums: North America (ABA), Rest of the Americas (non ABA) and Rest of World. This would avoid the current confusion.
  12. Surely Costa Rica is in North America and all these threads about Costa Rican birds should be in the North American forum. Likewise Panama. At the minute they are swamping out this forum and the genuine Rest of World topics are getting drowned out.
  13. Taken in Mudumalai National Park in India. 1. I'm 90% sure this is a Crested-serpent Eagle. 2. No idea and I could never see the whole bird through the bush. The eye is the most striking feature. Many thanks for your help.
  14. I was wondering about Ashy Crowned Sparrow Lark both M and F for the first two. I have no idea on the wader.
  15. Please help with ID of the following from March 2019: 1. Unkown - Hampi, Southern India. 2. Unknown - Hampi, Southern India. 3. Wader - Mysore, Southern India. Thank you very much.
